Here is one of my biggest mistakes with pricing from 22 years in business!

Hey Reader,

For years, I scratched my head at the end of every month wondering where all the money was. Truth be told I was arrogant and naive and never took any advice.

Until we were forced into a corner by the ensuing financial crisis in 2008.

And that's when it all changed.

My business partner, Caleb, and I had several stand up rows about our prices. We were watching all out competitors drop their prices to compete over the scraps in the web hosting space. I knew we had to to raise them but couldn't persuade Caleb to agree to any more than 20% of an increase.

Needless to say I didn't listen to him and instead shifted our lowest hosting plan from £10/mth to £50/mth.

40% of our clients left overnight.

However at the end of the month something finally shifted.

Revenue was up 250%.

Support calls were down over 80%.

It meant that the clients who moaned and whined about the value they were getting at £10/mth left our business and took all of their problems with them.

I go through this, and many other practical pricing strategies, in my new book, Fearless Pricing.

Which I given everything away in an interactive, digital version of the book, which you can access using the link below.

This book is everything I know about pricing - the psychology behind it, how to package your services so clients say yes, and how to stop leaving money on the table every time you quote for a job.

If you've ever:

  • Quoted a price and immediately wondered if you went too low
  • Dropped your rate just to win the client
  • Had no idea how to justify charging more

...then this one's for you.

Right. Go get it.

To see if you're undercharging then it's time to:

Signal versus Noise Framework - Robin Waite, Fearless Business

Hey Reader, Let’s be honest: are you actually moving the needle, or are you just really good at being busy? I see it every single day. Brilliant coaches and consultants working 60-hour weeks, responding to every "urgent" email, tweaking their website for the tenth time, and saying "yes" to low-margin custom projects that drain their soul. The result? You’re exhausted. Your profit margins are stagnant. You feel like you’re running on a treadmill, putting in massive effort but staying in...

Fearless Pricing - Robin Waite LAUNCH DAY!

Hey Reader, For years, I watched brilliant coaches, consultants and freelancers massively undercharge for their work. Not because they weren't good enough. Not because the market wouldn't pay more. But because nobody had ever shown them how to think about pricing or given them the confidence to actually charge what they were worth. Fearless Pricing is my attempt to fix that. And today it's officially live. For launch day, the Kindle edition is just 99p / 99c - which feels almost criminal for...

A flow diagram showing the process to creating a 1-page business plan

Hey Reader, Let’s be honest for a second. Most business owners I talk to are "winging it" when it comes to their numbers. They have a vague revenue goal in their head, but no actual roadmap for how to get there. They’re stuck in a cycle of over-delivering for under-market rates, constantly chasing the next lead because they don't actually know how many they need to stay afloat. Does this sound familiar? You’re working 60-hour weeks but your bank balance isn't reflecting the effort. You feel a...
